HESSAH ALQAHTANI

I was born on a warm, sunny day at the end of August in Jeddah. But my roots is in Riyadh. The local language is different between Jeddah and Riyadh. That makes the people ask me where I am from? Because my tongue. My family lived in Jeddah but when I was eight years old we move to Rabigh . It is an industrial city and we lived there for nine years. I like it there very much. It's a quiet city. Everything very organized from the streets, buildings, gardens and shops. In fact, the most beautiful thing I like about it the school. It is vast and comfortable with playgrounds and with all the facilities. It is called the Aramco schools.
I went to the Aramco School for nine years. Actually, I was a good girl at school. I took the first grade in class every year .Although no one taught me at home as my mother was illiterate. Sometimes if I have a question I would ask my father. But all the time I figured it out myself. Also I have many duties in our home. My mother would give me and my sister a time table. One day I would do the laundry, wash the dishes and clean the kitchen .The next day I would vacuum our home and iron the clothes. And we do the housework every day.
At the school I was a high achiever and socialized with my friends .Always I participated in activities in school .when I was in intermediate school I read a poem during assembly and that made the teachers call me" the poet" .actually I am not poet but I like to read poems.
Life to me means at that time the school and family; how I could help my mother to take care of my brothers and sisters, how I could be a good girl at school. I won in three scientific competitions at the school.
Finally, if I could go back to that time, maybe, I would play more than I did because I fell when i was child . At that age, I was very responsible. I hope you have enjoyed reading my life story at that period as much as I have enjoyed writing it for you.

SAUDI ARABIA

I miss my home, I come from Saudi Arabia, the Saudi link between three continents, Asia, Africa and Europe, and explorers say that it is in the middle of the world, especially Makah al Makarmah.

Al Riyadh is the capital city. Makah and Medina are holy cities. Jeddah, Dammam, Abha, Tbuok and Dhran are the main cities in Saudi Arabia.

You can meet lots of people from many countries in Saudi Arabia because they come to do hajj and omrah in Makah.

Saudi Arabia is the advanced in many ways such as education, health, civic services we on the right path of development, but we aspire for more, beside that the
Ministry of Education sent many of the
students to many countries to obtain degrees
and go back to serve their country like us.

This is the main reason for we come to Malaysia to learn after we finish we go back to serve our country.

I wish do my master and PHD.Then I come
back to service my country.
Saudi Arabia is great country. I am very
proud because I am Saudi.

Sign language

Have you heard about sign language before? It is the language useful by Hearing Impaired people, who cannot hear sounds.

There are two kinds of sign language. One kind has a sign for every letter in the alphabet. The person spells words. The other kind has a sign for whole words. There are about five thousand (5. 000) of these signs. They are signs for verbs, things and ideas.

Three years ago I had taken a course in sign language. But unfortunately I cannot use it. I think we should try to use it. It brings peace to you.

Sign language is almost like a dance. The whole body talks. It's beautiful language.

Who can help us?
Sometimes we need a miracle to achieve our objectives, many times we must do many things at the same time and want them to be perfect, such as self-fulfillment, child-rearing, do housework, and play a mother and father at the same time and to the fullest.
Whatever happens, if we want to achieve these goals we must believe in God and pray that helps us, in the end,God who able to help us.

The last week

last week was verey stressful but I think it was wonderful . I registered in the conference for mathmatics education in southe east Asia . It's called ERCOM. There were many paper presentions to help math teachers teach, ways to help students learn and love mathmatics. Participants came from 28 countries and I met some people from Singapore,Japan,USA,Taiwan and India. I would like to join the next conference.
